Nanometer zinc oxide is a new ultrafine functional inorganic product, with particle size less than 50 nm. Because of fine particle size and large surface area, nanometer zinc oxide has surface effect, small size effect and macro tunnel effect which zinc oxide doesn� own. So nanometer zinc oxide can be applied in anti-bacterial construction materials. Ceramic industry is another big customer of nanometer zinc oxide. Nanometer zinc oxide can be directly used without being grinded to lower sintering temperature of ceramics 400~600°C, reduce process procedure and energy consumption. Ceramics added with nanometer zinc oxide can kill bacteria, remove odor and decompose organic matters to keep self-cleaning, thus quality of ceramics is greatly improved. Glass for cars and construction added with nanometer zinc oxide can resist ultraviolet, friction, kill bacteria and remove odor. So nanometer zinc oxide has wide application in ceramics, electronics, mechanics, textiles, paint and so on.
